International Children's Book Day

On the 1st of April 2022 we celebrated International Children's Book Day in school. Traditionally this takes place on Hans Christian Anderson's birthday (the 2nd of April). The idea is to promote interest and love of reading in children. 

We prepared lots of different reading corners for the children to enjoy so they were able to read in a tipi, or on an inflatable toy, or under a sun unbrella, or with a torch in a darkened room. Some children also chose to dress up as their favourite book character.
